Extract the PDF pages you actually need

Split PDF lets you create a new PDF containing selected pages from a larger document. It is useful when you need to share a single chapter, send only a signed page, save a receipt from a statement, separate a section for review, or reduce a large document to the pages relevant to someone else. The original PDF remains unchanged; the tool creates a separate downloadable file from the page selection you enter.

You can choose individual pages, consecutive page ranges, or a combination of both. For example, entering 1, 3, 5-7 creates a new PDF with page 1, page 3, and pages 5 through 7. Leaving the page field blank extracts all pages into a new file.

How to split a PDF by page range

  1. Click Select a PDF or drag a PDF file into the upload area.
  2. Enter the pages you want to keep. Use commas between individual pages and a hyphen for a range.
  3. Check that every page number is within the original document’s page count.
  4. Click Split & Download PDF to create and save the new PDF.

Page-selection examples

Enter 4 to extract only page 4. Enter 2-6 to extract pages 2 through 6. Enter 1, 4, 8-10 to combine individual pages and a range in one output file. Use commas rather than semicolons, and avoid page numbers that do not exist in the uploaded PDF.

Tip: Open the downloaded PDF and review the page order before sending it. This is especially important for forms, invoices, and documents with page references.

Will splitting change my original PDF?

No. The tool creates a new PDF from the pages you select; your original file is not replaced.
